- Develop and execute a comprehensive annual business plan encompassing strategies and tactics necessary to achieve goals in alignment with Retail Channels strategies.
- Maintain a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates branch team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors, communicating vision/values/business strategy.
- Coordinate the Branches' sales management activities directed to customer growth, portfolio growth, credit, and deposit production. Lead and drive a high standard of customer service-driven culture at branches.
- Monitor sales performance and accountabilities from a selling and customer retention perspective. Implement sales and service disciplines throughout the Branch Network.
- Maintain a visible and aggressive presence in the community through active participation in key community functions, meetings, and events.
- Assess and advise management on opportunities, risks, and conditions of the business in charge. Keep management informed of overall trends and conditions and recommend changes as appropriate. Anticipate and mitigate credit, operational, market, and reputational risks.
- Maintain a strict “tone at the top” in relation to compliance with regulatory agencies' guidelines, bank policies, and procedures.
- Support strategic innovation tools implementation, adoption, and migration to self-service channels.
- Works toward human capital development and change management as part of our transformation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Master’s degree highly preferred.
- Five (5) years of related management / leadership experience in retail required including financial services or banking industry required.
- Management and people leadership experience required. Strong mentoring and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively manage a large team.
- The minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
- Analytical, proactive problem solving, organized, detail oriented and able to multitask maintaining the defined quality standards.
- Service and people oriented, with extensive interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in both English and Spanish required.
- Technology and computer systems proficiency required (MS Office and related banking software and applications).
- Self-starter, results oriented, dynamic, and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Sound judgment and proper criteria for establishing priorities correctly.
- Must be able to lead several initiatives simultaneously observing the defined quality standards.
- Availability to travel within Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands required.
