As an early executive leader, the CIO will play a hands-on role in setting strategy while also building infrastructure, talent, and processes to support sustainable growth. The CIO will partner and collaborate with the President & CEO and Chief Development Officer to support a culture of philanthropy, donor engagement and fundraising. This leader will oversee all programs and direct service strategies, ensure alignment and quality across the enterprise, and collaborate closely with internal and external partners to maximize impact, resources, and long-term success. - Lead the development and execution of BGCCR’s programmatic strategy and theory of change in alignment with organizational goals.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the President & CEO and Senior Leadership Team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning across programs.
- Provide enterprise-wide oversight of all programs, partnerships, and youth experiences to ensure quality, consistency, and impact.
- Define and oversee evaluation frameworks, metrics, and outcomes to measure and communicate impact.
- Use data and insights to inform strategy, drive improvement, and support decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Club Directors and program staff to achieve high performance and strong team cohesion.
- Build organizational capacity through talent development and clear performance expectations.
- Oversee program budgets and resource alignment to ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
- Partner with Finance to ensure programs operate within budget and deliver strong return on mission investment.
- Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and Resource Development team to support donor engagement and philanthropic efforts.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with funders, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Serve as a visible ambassador and thought leader for BGCCR’s mission and impact. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (education, youth development, nonprofit management, social sciences, or related field).
- 5+ years of senior-level leadership experience in youth-serving, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations.
- Demonstrated success designing and leading a programmatic theory of change.
- Strong track record in program quality, staff development, and continuous improvement.
- Experience building and managing community partnerships in diverse, urban environments.
- Proven financial acumen related to program budgeting and resource management.
- Data-driven leader with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to support programs, events, and organizational needs beyond standard business hours.
Salary range: $150,000 – $175,000, commensurate with experience. Competitive benefits package including health, dental, paid time off, and retirement plan.
