- Work Propulsion Control System design changes, validation testing, and production support.
- Build and lead effective cross-functional teams to drive work assignments and project objectives.
- Establish and maintain effective and responsive working relationships with customer counterparts.
- Decipher customer and airworthiness requirements and establish corresponding Propulsion Control Systems validation plans.
- Establish project plans including workscope with detailed budget, schedule and staffing plans.
- Effective coordination and communication with: Multi-disciplinary requirements and design teams, systems engineering teams, project management organizations
- Prepare technical presentations and present information to internal and external customers.
- Develop documentation to support work being conducted including test procedures, test reports, general customer technical communication, service bulletins and aftermarket manuals.
- Support field service engineers in determining urgent propulsion engine problems.
- Drive root cause and corrective action of customer service-related difficulties utilizing the internal review board process.
- Continuous improvement in development cost and time efficiency
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematic
- 5+ years engineering experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Master's Degree
- Experience with turbine gas engines design
- Experience with control systems components for gas turbine engines such as wire harness, engine starter motor, Oil level sensors, speed sensors, temperature sensors etc.
- Engineering experience executing aerospace product development or customer support efforts.
- Experience with PDM tools (i.e. Team Center) and requirement management tools (i.e. DOORS)
- Experience with ARP4754A, DO-254 and/or DO-160/MIL-STD-810 standards
- Advanced knowledge of the product development lifecycle
