HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKA.Responsibilities:·

Operate water treatment facility to control flow and processing or water, sludge and effluent.
Follow pre-established systems of work to ensure that operational processes and services operate at maximum efficiency in line with performance indicators, quality standards and regulatory requirements, under the supervision of appropriately qualified supervisors.
Adopt safe working practices and procedures that fully comply with Company, legal and other regulatory standards.
Monitor control panels, valves gauges and meters.
Start and stop pumps, engines and generators to control and adjust flow and treatment processes.
Maintain shift log and record meter and gauges readings for shift reporting to PRASA.
Collect samples and perform routine laboratory tests and analyses for regulatory and non-regulatory sampling processes, following established procedures and external regulations.
Operate individual treatment and pumping systems, including chemical dosing.
Perform chemical inventory checks.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering, or high school degree or equivalent.
Potable Water Treatment Plan Operator license preferably category III or IV.
At least 2 years of experience in industrial process environment, preferably the Water Industry.
Ability to monitor computer screen and take readings and compile written reports.
Posses a valid driver’s license.
