The project work will be performed in Municipalities of Aibonito, Caguas, Guayama, Gurabo, and Patillas, Corozal, Ciales and Orocovis, Puerto RicoLevel II to performs inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials, and all issues concerning the construction of the project. Determines the acceptability of the day-to-day work performed by the contractor. The CI-II will review and recommend accepting or rejecting daily reports submitted by the contractor, performs inspection of the contractor’s quality control procedures and material testing, and verifies that procedures are in conformance with the approved Quality Control Plan and established procedures. The CI-II must also be able to reviews material testing procedures and results for conformance to the contract and measures quantities of materials placed. The CI-II may be required to perform sampling and/or in-place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt concrete pavement.Desired Construction Inspector level II should have extensive experience working on reinforced soil slope systems construction, construction of concrete sheet pile wall, and soldier pile retaining walls, milling and overlay, pavement reconstruction, pavement markings, removal and replacement of guardrails, signage, temporary traffic control implementation and maintenance of traffic, erosion and sedimentation control, and other miscellaneous heavy highway construction and related project inspection work. Experience working with EFLHD FP-14 and/or PRHTA standards and specifications is preferred. Inspector should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, word, etc...) and Adobe Acrobat (pdf). Bilingual (Spanish) candidates preferred; be able to read, write and speak Spanish, at a minimum, the ability to make oneself understood to all Spanish speaking individualsExperience
