The Accountant is responsible for keeping in contact with the person designated by the U.S. client to obtain, on a timely basis, all documents needed to perform the three-way-match, identify and clear exceptions with clients, and process clients' vendor payments. The Accountant is responsible for reviewing financial data, preparing reports, and performing clients' procurement services. The Accountant position will also maintain all financial records while assisting with the general operations of the finance department, such as the month-end closing and distribution of financial reporting for all clients. These services include performing the three-way match and processing clients' vendor payments.Responsibilities:Your general duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Prepares monthly financial statements and reconciles monthly subsidiary ledgers (with the General Ledger)
- Manage bookkeeping and financial activity for the assigned divisions
- Complete Monthly Scorecard and Three-Way Match Analysis Report, and any other analysis and client statistics to be presented in the PRS Client Meetings.
- Properly and professionally manage the business relationship with assigned clients, specifically from a financial perspective.
- Alert supervisor and management in a timely manner of any non-compliance or potential non-compliance issues and of changes in the client's operations and needs, using sole discretion based on the impacts on the client's revenue.
- Responsible for understanding the assigned client's business in the U.S. and P.R. and maintaining direct contact with them on a regular basis to be informed of changes occurring in clients' operations and needs.
- Overseeing and reporting clients' accounts payable transactions by processing information updated on a regular basis, prioritizing invoices according to payment terms.
- Ensuring all payments are made in accordance with company policy and are sent on time.
- Develops financial reports based on database structures and financial statements, as needed by management.
- Maintain the integrity of accounting and budgeting software systems by analyzing information, checking for errors, and inconsistencies.
- On board and train new clients in accordance with TLS Accounting timelines, processes, and procedures.
- Responsible for preparing Management Discussion Analysis reports for active clients.
- Responsible for performing work consistently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Complies with all applicable regulatory guidance and internal accounting policies & procedures.
- Billing and collecting professional fees, including Design Phase Fees.
- Assists with annual financial and tax external audits.
- Protect the Organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Other projects as assigned by Management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of five (5) years of combined experience in the full Accounting Cycle.
- Ability to work on multiple, complex projects simultaneously and see them to completion with limited supervision.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting.
- Extensive knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and QuickBooks, with advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems such as SAP or Oracle is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, impeccable attention to detail, organizational skills with strategic thinking and planning, customer service oriented.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
