- Collaborate with estimating manager to develop and maintain pre-construction and construction estimates.
- Establish bidding process requirement and lead the bidding process.
- Independent analysis of market on construction costs.
- Conduct quantity take-offs, variance and maintain quantity controls.
- The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of construction methods, processes and management practices; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; good communication skills; and be organized, efficient and responsive to the needs of internal and external clients alike.
- Basic understanding of Auto CAD, Revit and Sketch-up modeling.
- Perform productivity analysis of cost estimates.
- Prepare contingency, escalation, and reconciliations for estimates.
- Review of specifications and drawings for cost effectiveness and suggestions for alternatives where applicable.
- Prepare Vendor’s Bid Spread Comparison for major trades and recommend subcontractor suppliers window, roofs, and finishes.
- Maintain and perform comparison in scope, quantities, and cost data between projects (Aireko means)
- Able to identify risks, opportunities and communicate them (before bid closing) to executive management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- BS in Civil Engineering, Construction management or equivalent related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in General Construction estimating.
- Experience of using spreadsheets and complex estimating, pricing models and cost management tools.
- Demonstrated understanding of construction documents and how they apply to estimating.
