- Create and maintain project plans for assigned projects/programs with some guidance from Sr. Engineer, Supervisor or Project Manager.
- Track daily progress of all project tasks to ensure on time delivery to commitment.
- Coordinate required activities with all other functional areas maintaining a single source of priorities with the other project engineers (e.g. machine shop, facilities, operations).
- Own change management for assigned projects/programs including revising and documenting Deviations, CDRs and CRs.
- Schedule / lead project meetings with other team members and functional areas, as needed, to provide status and align priorities.
- Participate in Operations Tier Meetings, as needed, to communicate priorities or support required for projects.
- Collect production readiness evidence including but not limited to SMT program status, stencils designs, tooling/fixtures documents, material complete analysis, thermal profiling, etc.
- Submit eCARs and WBS requests for post award efforts as required.
- Identify and resolve risks/roadblocks to minimize impact to project schedules.
- Proactively communicate and escalate risks or support required during the project phases.
- Identify and drive mistake proofing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Participate in Project/Program’s meetings as required.
- Keep effective and clear communication with Programs.
- Engage and seek approval/guidance from Producibility Engineer for deviations, CRs, CDRs and any product or process change.
- Track project constraints (scope, time, cost, and quality) and develop plans to keep them in balance.
- Work closely with the NPI team members and other functional areas to ensure applicable requirements are met and a smooth transition to production release.
- Ensure safety precautions are followed on all projects and daily activities.
- Implement and maintain 5S methodology on office areas.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Experience with new product introduction
- Experience performing root cause analysis driving to effective corrective actions
- Planning skills and ability to execute plans in dynamic and rapidly changing circumstances
- Knowledge in SAP
- Finance knowledge and understanding to support Business Case models
