- Develop deep understanding of client’s operations and risk exposures.
- Identify specific client needs, develop innovative and cost-effective solutions working in team with the Insurance Producer.
- Communicate and document customer recommendations by writing following communication best practices, compliance regulations and branding guidelines.
- Ensure all recommendations developed throughout the risk management process and are understood by the customer.
- Prepare policy review and risk management recommendations report for customers.
- Serve as customer’s day-to-day point of contact for ongoing service needs. Coordinate and lead the strategy for the account renewal, ongoing activity, and requirements during the year. Work with Insurance Agencies in the marketing process and the negotiations with the underwriters.
- Provide support to Insurance Brokers with prospective clients and explain the features and merits of the policies offered. Recommend the amount and type of coverage based on the analysis and circumstances of potential customers. Provide support to Insurance producers in achieving sales budget and promotes selling of insurance products and services.
- Assist the customer during the claim process.
- Manage client relationships to increase penetration sales and cultivate new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Claims Department and ensure smooth communication and coordination with the client. Review customers’ claims reports with the claims unit to identify risk and develop loss control reports/initiative that can mitigate the customers’ risk.
- Expand the existing insurance programs with our clients. Develop and manage client relationships to increase penetration sales and cultivate new business opportunities.
- Gain and maintain a thorough understanding and knowledge of Popular resources and solutions.
- Participates in special activities representing Popular Risk Services.
- Design and maintain the stewardship report prepared to fulfill the risk management services.
Property & Casualty Licenses
CISR or CIC DesignationOther Qualifications
- Strong communication, analytical, negotiations and team management skills
- Fully bilingual (Spanish and English) writing and conversational
- Puerto Rico Insurance Commissioner license (Preferred)
- Experience in handling objection.
- Condominium or Consulting experience
- Able to multi-task, prioritize and organize work with attention to detail in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Collects, research and complements data. Synthesizes complex or diverse information.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Work on alternative solutions.
- Demonstrates group presentation skills. Presents numerical data effectively.
- Proficiency in Word Processing, Presentations, Spreadsheet, Internet, other related software.
- Knowledge of Insurance products, services, underwriting, and business laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knowledge of internal and competitors’ products and services to provide the quality in service advise.
- Demonstrate ability in project coordination, identification of business needs, work plan, budget control, time management, resource allocation, team management, status reports and implement changes. Must demonstrate leadership, logic, and reasoning skills.
