- Development of an approach to safety and occupational health issues with regulatory requirements.
- Issuing weekly safety talks, safety trainings.
- Support site EHS staff with Near miss identification, report; trending and tracking to closure. Also make tracking of other metrics such as CAPAs, incident investigation, etc.
- Conduct assessment of personal protection equipment
- Follow all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (ISO 45001 $ ISO 14001)
- Lead Contractor’s EHS Qualification Program.
- Coordinate and perform internal audits periodically to assess systems/process efficiency.
- Assist management in conducting risk assessments, conduct hazard assessments, recommend solutions to identified hazards, design/implement solutions, and participate on health and safety teams.
- Conduct EHS management of change evaluation and assessments.
- Take projects requiring basic knowledge of safety from identification of potential risk to the implementation of appropriate control measures.
- Conduct routine general EHS inspections and non-routine EHS inspection as part of the management of change process, issue reports and follow completion of recommended corrective actions.
- B.S. in Science or Engineering
- A minimum of five (5) years related experience in Medical Devices & Diagnostics Pharmaceutical and/or Consumer industry is required.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipments, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- He / she may frequently work inside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, exposed to wet and or humid conditions, and an odorous atmosphere, may be exposed to fumes and the risk of electrical shock ,and occasionally work on ladders in high places, in small spaces, such as lift/metering stations, manholes, tanks and wet wells. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
